WeBC is a non-profit organization that has supported women’s entrepreneurship across the state for over 25 years. They have worked with local partners to provide business loans and experience, resources, training, and partner network support to thousands of entrepreneurs to help their businesses bloom to their full potential. 

WeBC’s team of business consultants, facilitators, volunteers, and mentors are passionate about providing the community, the training, and tools they need and celebrating their daring initiative. They bring extensive experience and expertise from various sectors of finance and marketing to technology and export. Being former business owners, their consultants draw on their personal business experience to understand your concerns and needs. If you need an expert opinion or attention to an event, WeBC makes sure that you are never alone in your journey of becoming an entrepreneur.

WeBC’s Story in Brief

Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) recognized significant gaps when it came to accessing services and finance for women entrepreneurs. To fill this gap, WD has funded to establish Women’s Enterprise Initiatives (WEI) in four western states. 

The Women’s Enterprise Initiative comprises WeBC, Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan, Alberta Women Entrepreneurs, and Women’s Enterprise Centre of Manitoba. Since 1995, they have jointly provided more than $22 million in direct and debt loans, having created more than 7,700 jobs in Canada.

Purpose of WeBC

Being British Columbia’s prominent business resource organization for women, they are dedicated to assisting women entrepreneurs on their small business journey.

WeBC is established to empower women entrepreneurs so that these aspiring women entrepreneurs can leave a mark in their communities and generate opportunities in British Columbia’s economy.
